Journey of Healing Dinner - More Than A Word

Journey of Healing Dinner - More Than A Word
6pm, Friday, 29 May 2009
Heath Room, UQ Union Complex

Each year, The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit in collaboration with Goorie Berrimpa Student Association and UQ Union host and celebrate the year that was; for 2009 it was about the Journey of Healing - More Than A Word; remembering the day when the world stopped to hear the simple word "SORRY" emerge from a past that has been anything but simple.  People gathered at the dinner to share stories; sing-a-long; and look at what is ahead without ever forgetting what was, the theme was shades of purple, black and white, and there was an abundance of colour.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit wish to thank everyone for making the evening a night to remember; to the organisers; ushers; caterers, speakers; and guests, we thank you.  We thank the people who allowed us to take photos, we hope you enjoy them.
