AIATSIS Library
The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) Library is Australia's major collection of materials relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies. It holds books, journals and manuscripts as well as collections of video, audio and photographic material. Unlike other library catalogues, the AIATSIS Library online catalogue includes information about journal, magazine and newspaper articles. Eventually virtually everything written or recorded by and about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people ends up in the AIATSIS collection. Mura Gadi - National Library of Australia
Mura Gad i- a guide to manuscript, pictures and oral histories in the National Library of Australia relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is an online catalogue of the Library's rich resources relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The name, contributed by Ngunawal/Ngunnawal elder Matilda House, means 'pathways for searching' in the language of the original inhabitants of the region where the Library is located. We hope Mura Gadi will provide a new 'pathway' to assist those searching for material relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Black Words: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Writers and Story Tellers
Black Words is an information-rich website, a searchable database and a forum for communication. On Black Words you will find: biographical records for writers and story tellers; records of all types of published and unpublished works of creative writing by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers; information about organisations such as publishers, theatre groups and other cultural groups; information on works on particular subjects relating to Indigenous cultures or literatures; critical articles on a range of relevant subjects and excerpts from scholarly works on a wide array of topics; links to other sites and resources for study, teaching and general interest; a Calendar of events and ways of finding out more; and much, much more.
Australian Indigenous Index
The Australian Indigenous Index is an index to the Koori Mail, a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from May 1991 onwards. It also indexes biographical information on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from the magazines: Our Aim (1907-1961), Dawn (1952-1969), New Dawn (1970-1975) and Identity (1971-1982).

Aboriginal Languages of Australia
There are more than 200 Australian Indigenous languages. Less than 20 languages are strong, and even these are endangered: the others have been destroyed, live in the memories of the elderly, or are being revived by their communities. This site has annotated links to 224 resources for about 70 languages. About 33% of these resources are produced or published by Indigenous people.

The Aboriginal Studies WWW Virtual Library: The Internet Guide to Aboriginal Studies is hosted on the World Wide Web Virtual Library site, the oldest catalog of the web. The site provides a searchable database of links to over 130 specialist information facilities on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander topics. The WWW Virtual Library, unlike commercial catalogs, is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the web, the VL pages are widely recognised as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the web.
